FASHION BASICS:

Women trousers differ in style, some are wide leg trousers while others are straight leg trousers, but you have a choice on which of these two types of trousers you should wear to a job interview. However, you have to dress in a presentable manner so that the human resource manager gets a positive picture about you. Many times, people will judge you based on what you wear, I know this is a wrong concept, but that is how humans behave. I would personally judge a person based on what they say the first time I meet them, sometimes clothes hide the true colors of a person.

In this set, I have featured a black pleat front straight leg pant matched with a cream / black polka dot sheel top, however, to spice up the trend, I decided to complement the polka top with a cream blazer and teamed the all outfit with black pointed slip-on pumps. Since we have a cream blazer and top, the suede cream shoulder bag will be the best choice for this outfit.

When it comes to your looks / beauty, you might need something exclusive, in this case, I suggest you try ARTISTRY YOUTH XTEND™ Enriching Eye Cream, it is recommend to women who have wrinkles around their eyes, this cream will reduce the appearance of lines around your eyes, so, your new boss or human resources manager will see a young, healthy and beautiful woman suitable for that job position. Don’t forget that it is a human weakness to judge a book by its cover, so, make sure your cover is attractive.

RELATED OPTIONS:

Option 1: If you’re applying for a casual job, you might need an outfit which is different from the one I have featured above, since, trousers differ in style, you can opt for some thing colorful and casual, so, in this case, I suggest you wear green mid waist rivet pockets pants, they look casual but formal as well, so you can complement these green pants with a black print collar cropped jumper and team the outfit with neon stretch-crepe blazer and a green shoulder bag. Conclude this outfit with kitten green pumps. Casual jobs like magazine editing will require you to wear something like this.

Option 2: If you’re going for a formal job interview, you can wear a grey twist trouser; this type of trouser has tooth-pick legs, so it looks more like a skinny pant. Wear this grey twist trouser with a white long sleeved button down chiffon shirt and then complement the outfit with a black jersey jacket / blazer. Team the all trend with black pumps and a black tote bag. I strongly recommend wearing black blazer with grey pants, these two colors complement each other very well, avoid wearing red blazers to a job interview, it can be a good color if you get the job, but, don’t risk on a formal job interview.

Option 3: If you’re applying for a style and design career, you probably need to opt for a trendy design. In this case, I suggest you wear a purple cropped crepe trouser. Team this trouser with a white tank top, but make sure that you tuck in the top with the pants. White is a neutral color, so it will match with the purple trouser. Complement this outfit with neon yellow heeled sandals and a cream envelop clutch. Please note, this outfit is for women who apply for casual jobs, if you’re job description is formal, please opt for black / grey / brown pants.

Option 4: Formal ladies like lawyers, accountants, marketing executives and so much more, you need to wear a formal versatile outfit on a job interview. For example, you can wear a grey flannel trouser with a black & white horizontal stripped top and complement the outfit with cream pumps, or you can wear a black wide leg trouser with a white tank top, and then team the outfit with a black blazer and black pointed leather pumps.

In this fashion set, I have featured a purplish-red twisted professional skirt with black & white hound’s-tooth sleeveless bow shirt, since black & white are neutral colors, the purplish-red skirt matches very well with the hound’s-tooth top. To add value to this outfit, I decided to complement it with a black tuxedo blazer which features a white lining on the edges of the pockets and the sleeve. To conclude the outfit, I opted for black pointed pumps and a purplish-red / black tote bag.

For the sake of your looks, you can spice up your lips with a purplish-red lip gloss. Try out this ARTISTRY® Lip Gloss – Full Coverage, it will keep your lips moist and beautiful.

RELATED OPTIONS:

Option 1:- If the outfit I have featured in the set above didn’t impress you, you can opt for a skirt with prints. In this case, I suggest you wear a beige rose print midi skirt, opt for one with a pencil fitting. My best choice for an interview would be cream & black rose print midi skirt, you can match this type of skirt with a black tank top, and then team the top with a black petite blazer, accessorize this outfit with a cream oversize scarf , a cream leather handbag and cream open toe pumps. If the skirt has an option of wearing a belt, you can opt for a black slim belt.

Option 2:- If you don’t want a printed midi skirt, then opt for a black midi skirt. Since black is neutral, it will look good with any outfit, but in this case, You can match the black midi skirt with a blue turtleneck top. To spice up this trend, you should complement the blue turtleneck top with an asymmetric woven leather jacket and team the all outfit with black heeled buckled ankle boots. For the sake of the bag, you can opt for a blue / black tote bag.

Option 3:- You can as well wear a pleated midi skirt on a job interview. This skirt should stop just below the knees by 2 inches, and the choice of color will depend on your color of preference. In my opinion, you can wear a khaki / brown pleated midi skirt which features some few prints at the bottom, complement this skirt with a white tank top, make sure you tuck in the top with the skirt and team the white tank top with a black blouse blazer. Now conclude this outfit with black closed toe ankle strap pumps and a green leather clutch bag.

Option 4:- This time, try out a bright colored skirt, let’s opt for a pleated pink-white skirt, and make sure the skirt stops below the knees, very short skirts are not recommended on job interviews because they cause distraction. Complement the pink-white pleated skirt with a black tank top and a black boyfriend blazer. If the skirt has an option for a belt, team it with a black leather belt and conclude this outfit with black suede heel pumps and a black studded handbag.

3WEAR TAILORED ANKLE PANTS TO A JOB INTERVIEW

WEAR TAILORED ANKLE PANTS TO A JOB INTERVIEW

WEAR TAILORED ANKLE PANTS TO A JOB INTERVIEW

FASHION BASICS:

This is a versatile outfit which you can wear either on a formal / casual job interview, tailored ankle pants are fashionable in their own way, so, if you complement them with trendy outfits, you will look fabulous. However, you should always opt for fitting pants, because over-sized tailored pants can make you look funny and unfashionable.

In this fashion set, I have matched black tailored ankle pants with a white cross collar short sleeved shirt, to spice up this outfit; you can complement the white shirt with a sky blue sweater vest and then team the blue vest with a yellow blazer. Mix-matching yellow / blue / white and black will pimp your looks and style. To conclude this outfit, I have decided to team it with black suede medium heel pumps and a black tote bag.

Since this outfit looks stunning, you probably need to work on your face as well, it will be disappointing to turn up on an interview with a sweating shinny face, highlight your beauty with ARTISTRY® Shimmer Loose Powder, it is enriched with light reflecting pigments which will reduce the appearance of imperfection on your face.

RELATED OPTIONS:

Option 1: If you prefer tailored pants with a bright color, I suggest you wear a royal blue stretch wool tailored pant, opt for one with a slim fitting and complement it with a white long sleeved button down blouse. Add value to this outfit by teaming the white blouse with a black blazer or a biker leather jacket and then conclude this outfit with black internal platform pumps and a black leather flap shoulder bag.

Option 2: If you have a slim body, you might prefer to wear black skinny ankle pants. Since the pants are black, you can complement them with a horizontal big stripped long sleeved tee and then conclude this outfit with black pointed leather pumps and a white tote bag. Keep the outfit simple, so, you don’t have to wear a blazer with this trend.

Option 3: For the classy ladies, you might want something outstanding and elegant, so, in this case, I suggest you wear gold tailored cropped pants on an interview. Such pants will cost you serious dime, so, make sure the type of job you’re applying for pays more than what that outfit costs, because you might scare the human resource manager / your new boss to be. Since your cropped pants have a gold color, complement them with a black top and conclude the outfit with brown leather pumps and a brown handbag. You can accessorize with two black bangles to spice up the black top.

Option 4: If the job is formal, you probably need to opt for Ponte tailored pants. My best choice will be grey, wear a grey tailored Ponte pant with a purple silk / chiffon blouse, but remember to tuck in the blouse with the pants so that you look smart and organized. Conclude this outfit with black pointed leather pumps and a black leather tote bag. If the pants require you to wear a belt, complement them with a slim black belt. You can as well spice up this trend by accessorizing with purple & diamond earrings.

4WEAR A DRESS ON A JOB INTERVIEW:

WEAR A DRESS TO A JOB INTERVIEW

WEAR A DRESS TO A JOB INTERVIEW

FASHION BASICS:

Many times women find it easy to wear a dress on a job interview because it requires less styling options compared to other trends like skirts, pants or trousers. However, not every dress can be worn on an interview, simply because every dress has it’s own trend and style, for example, you can’t wear a body-con dress to an interview, because this type of dress is too tight, so it will show all your body shape which I doubt if your human resource manager will be interested in, it’s not that a body-con dress can’t be worn to work, it is a cool dress, but not suitable for job interviews.

In this set, I have featured a white polka dot sleeveless dress with black ankle strap heeled sandals, this type of dress is simple and it has a relaxed fitting, so, it is a suitable dress to wear on a job interview. You can team it with a black leather shoulder bag.

Since this outfit is very simple and cute, you might as well prefer to spice up your beauty with ARTISTRY® Lip Gloss – Full Coverage featured in the set above, this lipstick will redefine the look and smoothness of your lips, since you will spend most the time answering oral interview questions, you need to prevent your lips from drying, so, try it out and give us a feedback.

RELATED OPTIONS:

Option 1: In this first option, we shall try out a dress which is very similar to the one I have featured in the set above. You can wear a black polka dot dress with a white blazer. I was going to suggest red, but white / black are the best when it comes to job interviews, because most Human resource managers have issues with colors, so, if the job is formal, you have to avoid some bright colors, neutral colors like white / black will put you in a safe position. You can complement this outfit with black pumps and a cream and black shoulder bag.

Option 2: If you insist on wearing bright colors on a job interview, I suggest you opt for a cool yellow and black big polka dot short sleeved dress, complement this dress with yellow high heel strap sandals and a black handbag, If the weather is cold, you can wear a navy blue trench coat with this outfit, because navy blue matches with yellow & black.

Option 3: This time, let’s try a non polka dot dress; you can wear a green gathered sleeveless dress which features pleats allover, team this dress with a black boyfriend blazer. Spice up the outfit with orange ankle strap sandals and an orange mini shopper bag. This type of outfit is suitable for casual job interviews, you can as well accessorize this outfit with a black scarf.

Option 4: How about opting for a color block dress? Please, this option is for women who apply for casual jobs, you can wear a color block dress to a formal job on Fridays, but you can’t risk wearing it on the interview day. However, women who apply for casual jobs like fashion designers, photographers, a color block dress will do wonders for you. Let’s assume the dress features blue/orange/black and green, team this type of dress with color block pointed toe wedges, the shoes can feature black, green and yellow, now match the shoes with a yellow mini bag and accessorize the dress with yellow & white chest double row necklace.

5WEAR PANTS TO A FORMAL JOB INTERVIEW:

WEAR PANTS TO A FORMAL JOB INTERVIEW

WEAR PANTS TO A FORMAL JOB INTERVIEW

FASHION BASICS:

I know I have recommended wearing pants to a job interview 3 times on this list, however, these pants differ in style, so each of us has a choice of their own, in this set, I have featured boot cut pants, they look more like wide leg pants, but boot cut pants have a narrow fitting around the knees.

This time, I have matched grey boot cut pants with a pastel pink long sleeved shirt, both grey and pink complement each other very well, so you will look fashionable in this trend. To spice up the trend, I teamed it with pink leather pumps, since I featured pink pumps and a pink shirt in this set; I decided to complement them with a color block tote bag which features teal & pink.

So, who should wear this outfit on an interview? Women applying for semi-formal jobs / careers should wear this kind of outfit on the interview, because it is not too formal or too casual.

RELATED OPTIONS:

Option 1: If you don’t want to wear a boot-cut pant, you can opt for something related but trendy. In this case, I suggest you wear a high waist relaxed style pant on a job interview. My favorite will be a grey high waist pant, complement it with a black chiffon top and team the grey pants with black pointed pumps. Spice up the trend with a black biker jacket and a black handbag. This outfit can work on both casual / formal job interviews.

Option 2: For those who want to go on a casual job interview, you can opt for classic cropped pants. For example, you can wear metallic cropped pants with a white top, since cropped pants stop above the ankle, complement them with formal cream pointed pumps and then complement the all outfit with a black suede clutch bag. If you want to accessorize this trend, you should opt for black medium length beaded necklace.

Option 3: If you love polka dot trends, you can wear a dark grey natural fit pant with a black and white polka dot chiffon blouse, and then team the pants with black pointed pumps, you can then team the outfit with a white or black handbag. If the weather is cold, you can match the outfit with a dark grey wool scarf.

Option 4: If you want an outfit which will make you feel relaxed, you can wear black velvet relaxed fitting pants with a white satin sleeveless blouse, tuck in the top with the pants to look smart, and then team the outfit with black heeled sandals. If the pants require you to wear a belt with them, opt for a gold tone slim leather belt and accessorize with a gold necklace and bangles, but make sure that these accessories are very simple, avoid big chain necklaces / bangles on an interview.

Option 5: Would you wear a black top with black pants to a job interview, if your answer is ”YES”, you should opt for a trendy black top. The best top should be a cowl neck beaded lace top; it will have glittering black beads, so it will defiantly look good on black cropped satin pants. However, to calm down the black color, you should complement the trend with metallic silver ankle strap heeled sandals.

6WEAR LEATHER PANTS TO A CASUAL JOB INTERVIEW:- Some of you might feel scared to opt for this trend, but if your applying for a casual related job which does not require formal outfits; this will be the best trend for interview. The stripped shirt makes the outfit look a bit formal so you don’t have to feel skeptical about this trend.

WEAR LEATHER PANTS TO A CASUAL JOB INTERVIEW
WEAR LEATHER PANTS TO A CASUAL JOB INTERVIEW

FASHION BASICS:

In this set, I have matched black leather skinny pants with a white long sleeve stripped shirt, don’t not tuck in the shirt, leave it in a free style posture so that it covers the upper part of your skinny pants. To add value to this trend, I have complemented it with black caged heeled ankle strap sandals and I teamed them with a black tote bag.

RELATED OPTIONS:

Option 1: Remember this section of wearing leather pants on an interview is for women who opt for casual jobs like fashion designers and related Arts. You can wear black pencil leg leather pants with a flash denim shirt; complement the trend with a brown over-sized pullover and brown ankle boots. If it is a winter season, you can opt for a cropped fur coat.

Option 2: If you’re not comfortable with a denim shirt, you can wear a white lace crochet blouse with black leather skinny pants; this is a very simple outfit which requires less styling. You can as well complement the pants with black transparent pointed high-heeled shoes. Since the outfit is too simple and plain, you might consider accessorizing it with gold chain necklace, but avoid wearing colorful accessories.

Option 3: This time lest try something which is colorful, you can wear black leather pants with a horizontal black and white stripe shirt, and then team the outfit with a pink crepe jacket. Black / white and pink complement each other very well, so you will look smart and fabulous in this trend. Conclude this outfit with black pointed pumps and a black chain link shoulder bag. To look smart, make sure you tuck in the stripe shirt with the pants.

7WEAR PEG LEG TROUSERS TO AN INTERVIEW:

WEAR PEG LEG TROUSERS TO AN INTERVIEW
WEAR PEG LEG TROUSERS TO AN INTERVIEW

FASHION BASICS:

Just like I said in related posts that pants / trousers differ in style, you don’t have to get stuck with only one style of pants, when it comes to fashion, you have to experiment different trends. However, you also need to define the protocols of your new career, because every job has its own dressing code. This option of wearing linen peg leg trousers is suitable for women who have casual careers.

In this set, I have matched brown linen peg leg trousers with a navy blue long sleeved chiffon blouse. To spice up this trend, I have complemented it with a rainbow stripped blazer, since I matched the pants with a blue blouse, the blue suede flats will be the best shoes to wear with this trend. However, you can also team the trend with black / leopard print flats. If you fail to get the blue chiffon blouse featured in the set above, you can opt for a white chiffon blouse.

RELATED OPTIONS:

Option 1: If you’re not so much interested in wearing brown peg trousers, you can opt for something with prints. In this case, you can wear a blue & white petal print peg trouser on a job interview. However, for you to look smart, you need to team these pants with a cool top, in my opinion, you can team them with a white sleeveless top, tuck in the top with your blue & white print peg trousers and complement the all trend with white chuck heeled ankle strap sandals and a white leather handbag.

Option 2: You can also dress like an up-town girl to an interview. In this case, you need to opt for a trendy peg pant outfit; for example, you can wear black peg leg pants with a white tank top, and then complement the top with a black & white check coat. To spice up this trend, you need to wear black suede pointed pumps and complement the shoes with a designer black leather handbag. Remember to tuck in the white tank top with your pants, this will add value and style on your looks which will increase your chances for getting that job.

Option 3: Try some thing corporate, this is a great option for women with formal careers but they would like to wear peg leg trousers to an interview. You can wear white linen peg pants with a black short sleeve satin blouse, tuck in the blouse with your peg pants to look smart and organized, now team the outfit with black suede slip-on pumps. If you want to accessorize, you can opt for a simple but trendy silver necklace and conclude the style with a black snake print leather handbag.

Option 4: Let’s try out some thing with a sporty look. This option will work for both casual and formal jobs. Simply wear pink Sporty Peg Trousers with a black satin sleeveless top, look organized by tucking in the top with the pants, and then team the outfit with black studded pointed pumps, since the top is sleeveless, you might need to wear a white blazer and conclude the outfit with a black tote bag.
